The City of Deerfield Beach is once again partnering with Dale Carnegie of South Florida to offer free soft skills training as part of the READY2WORK program. Soft skills are a combination of social skills encompassing personality traits and behaviors. Once mastered, these skills equip individuals to adapt more quickly and easily to any work environment and grow into new future roles. Past experience shows that individuals who successfully complete the READY2WORK program are more prepared to be productive employees with a high retention potential.
The soft skills program is a four-week online training course in customer service, decision making, time management, and problem-solving. It will take place on Wednesdays, from 6 pm to 8 pm, starting August 5. The course is limited to the first 25 participants who register.
There is no cost to attend the program, but individuals must commit to complete the whole series to receive the Certificate from Dale Carnegie. Registration opens July 12, space is limited.
Deerfield Beach companies are encouraged to contact the Department of Economic Development to have first access to this talented group of Soft Skills Training graduates immediately after completing the program.
