Broward County issued Emergency Order 20-17 late Friday, June 12, 2020. This new order requires retail establishments and restaurants to post signage containing information regarding social distancing and facial covering requirements, to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Signs must be conspicuously placed throughout these establishments, including at all entry points. Signs must be at least 8 1/2 x 11" and posted in multiple languages (minimum English, Creole and Spanish). The English, Spanish, and Creole versions of the sign can be downloaded here.
Recent models show an uptick in our COVID-19 statistics in Florida and across the United States. The City wants to remind the public of the importance of complying with all Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidelines, including those related to facial coverings and social distancing. Abiding by all restrictions and guidelines will allow local economies to remain open. This effort involves the entire community!
