Vulnerable Population Shopping

The City of Deerfield Beach has compiled a list of the local retail brands that are altering operating hours to better serve the vulnerable population. Vulnerable populations include those with underlying medical conditions and seniors.

Target has already reserved the first hour of shopping each Wednesday, between 8 AM – 9AM at stores nationwide. They are encouraging other guests to plan their shopping trips around this timeframe.

From March 24 through April 28, Walmart stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers aged 60 and older, starting an hour before the store opens. Walmart stores will adjust operating hours to 7 AM - 8:30 PM.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7 AM – 8 AM, customers over 65 and those with underlying health conditions are welcome to shop.

Whole Foods

Fresh Market

Shopping hours for seniors and those at risk will be between 8 AM - 9 AM

Dollar General

The first hour of every shopping day is available to senior shoppers. Store hours 8 AM – 10 PM.
