Legislative and Community Affairs

The mission of the Legislative and Community Affairs Department is to provide community outreach to support quality education, implement neighborhood revitalization, and seek resources to build a sustainable community.

The Legislative and Community Affairs Department: 

  • Manages the City’s federal and state entitlement and competitively awarded grants overseeing all phases of the grant process;
  • Administers and/or provides funding for programs that address neighborhood revitalization, housing and community development, and promote economic development in the city; and
  • Manages intergovernmental affairs which include developing and coordinating federal and state legislative programs and fostering relationships with other government agencies.
