D4 News

Hello friends,

I want to remind you that Halloween festivities begin tonight, October 25th, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, 445 S.W. 2nd Street.  Bring the family out to show off your cutest, creepiest, and most haunting costumes!  There will be costume contests for ages 12 & under, teens, and even adults.  Winners will receive a spooktacular prize.  The contests begin at 6:30 PM.  There will be a “Candy Find” cookie decorating station for the little ones searching for their sugar rush, and a pie-eating contest for those looking for a frightening competition. Join us for a night of big screen video games, bounce houses, balloon artists, face painters, and arts & crafts. Plus, dare to walk through the very scary DFB Haunted House.

For some more Halloween fun on Saturday,  bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Halloween Hoedown at Villages of Hillsboro Park, 4111 N.W. 6 Street. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This will be a family fun festival that will include carnival games, bounce houses, and a pumpkin patch. Event parking is located at Quiet Waters Elementary School, 4150 W Hillsboro Blvd, from 4:45 PM to 8:30 PM.

Don’t miss these nights of horrors,

Todd Drosky
Vice Mayor

These are great events, I hope that you will join us!
