Hello friends,

I want to remind you that Jr. Anglers Day, presented by FishAngleris happening tomorrow, September 28th, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the International Fishing Pier, 200 NE 21 Avenue.

This free fishing event, for children ages 5 – 13, will include fishing clinics, exhibitors, goodie bags, arts and crafts, and face painting. Bring the family out to enjoy a day of fun on the International Fishing Pier while engaging in interactive fishing activities, entertainment, and much more!

Registration is free, however, spots are limited! Register now at www.dfb.city/jranglersday. Parking on the barrier island is on a first come, first serve basis and is metered parking. Complimentary shuttle service will be available at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex (445 SW 2 Street) to the International Fishing Pier. This shuttle service will run continuously from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

What's Happening in DFB?

Siemens and DFB are Making a Smart City Vision Real

The City of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Siemens today officially announced the start of a city-wide energy efficiency project to reduce the city’s environmental footprint. Last month, the Commission of Deerfield Beach approved a 17-year contract with Siemens for energy performance services.


Regular Commission Meeting – October 2, 2019

District Four Saturday Office Hours – October 5, 2019

District Four Commissioner, Todd Drosky is happy to host Saturday office hours, October 5, 2019, at City Hall located at 150 NE Second Ave., Deerfield Beach. Vice Mayor Drosky will be available to meet with constituents on an appointment basis, between the hours of 10am – Noon.

Kirk Cottrell Pavilion Closure (North Beach Pavilion)

The Kirk Cottrell Pavilion (formerly known as the North Beach Pavilion) will be closing to the public on September 23, 2019.  Construction crews will be mobilizing on the site in preparation for construction of a new pavilion facility. 

City Seeks Public Input for Beach Management Plan

The City of Deerfield Beach is seeking public input for the creation of the City’s first Beach Management Plan.  This includes identifying specific areas of opportunity for improvement and management of our beaches.
