D4 News
Hello friends,

Due to expected choppy waves and high winds this weekend, the Junior Anglers Day event and the International Coastal Cleanup scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, September 21 have been postponed.  A rescheduled date for the cleanup has not been announced yet, but Junior Anglers Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 28 beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate better next weekend.

I would also like to remind all of my friends and neighbors in Independence Bay of an important meeting on Monday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. at your clubhouse.  The Florida Department of Transportation will be present to provide the latest information and renderings for SW 10th Street.  This will be one of your last opportunities to critique the project and let FDOT know what you do not like.  FDOT is planning to make a final recommendation after the last public meeting tentatively scheduled for October 29.  Please do not miss this chance to tell FDOT what's best for Independence Bay.  Don't let FDOT decide for you!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you Monday night.
Todd Drosky
Vice Mayor
