I hope everyone is having a good week.
With the school year winding down that means that hurricane season and the city budget deliberations will be heating up. I will be announcing shortly the next date for a town hall in District 4. This town hall will focus on "safety" issues, especially as we approach hurricane season. As you may remember, last year was a close call for us. We need to be just as prepared, if not more so, this year.
With respect to the budget, I will again be pushing for an overall millage decrease. There are, however, some minor items in the budget that need increases. Speed hump/table installation is one such example. The vast majority of calls I receive deal with speeding drivers through our neighborhoods. If you have any ideas regarding spending in the budget, please contact me and let me know your thoughts. It is never too early to start planning.
Have a great weekend!
