Once again, I would like to wish everyone a safe Thanksgiving holiday. In addition, I would like everyone to know about a major event next week that affects our city.
The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting a second public workshop regarding SW 10th Street on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Doubletree Hotel located at 100 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach (I-95 and Hillsboro Boulevard).
The workshop will have an open house format and FDOT staff will be available to answer questions. There will be a presentation every thirty minutes. Alternatives for SW 10th Street will be presented.
This will be the first opportunity for many of you to see firsthand the concepts that FDOT is proposing for SW 10th Street. These concepts seriously reconfigure this roadway and will reshape our city forever. This is also your last major opportunity to provide comments and feedback. The next step during the summer of 2019 will be FDOT selecting a preferred alternative for design.
For further information, you can contact FDOT at (954) 777-4427 or toll free at (866) 336-8435, ext. 4427, via email at Robert.Bostian@dot.state.fl.us, or visit the project website at www.sw10street.com.
I don't ask you to attend many meetings but this is a very important one for the future of Deerfield Beach. Ask questions! Don't take FDOT 's word for face value. This is our chance to influence this project!
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments at email@example.com.
Thank you and enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend.
