D4 News
Hello friends,

As the City continues to implement it's new recycling program, I want to let everyone know that I am available to attend your homeowner's association, civic group, religious organization or other gathering or meeting to discuss the do's and don'ts. Just because something can be recycled doesn't mean it is in our program. If it is not in our program, it is considered contamination.  The City is being charged a "contamination" fee by Waste Management for collecting items that are not recyclable.  Those items end up in the landfill and defeat the purpose of recycling.  In addition, there is an added cost to the City (and ultimately its residents) if we do not recycle properly.  Therefore to assist getting the word out, I am making myself available to any group (no matter the size) that would benefit from a brief presentation.  Feel free to contact me at tdrosky@deerfield-beach.com.  In the meantime, a copy of the City's recycling brochure can be found here: DFB.CITY/Recycling.

Have a great weekend!

Todd Drosky

Commissioner
