By now you may have heard about Deerfield Beach's New Emergency Alert Notification System, AlertDFB. Hurricane Season is here, so please be sure to sign up. All the information you need to sign up is in the "What's Happening in Deerfield Beach" section below.
I would also like to remind you that my next District 4 town hall meeting will be May 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Constitution Park. The topic of this town hall will solely be S.W. 10th Street. The Florida Department of Transportation will be present to make a short presentation and answer questions. FDOT recently conducted a kick-off meeting for vast changes proposed for the S.W. 10th Street corridor. Many residents were unable to attend that meeting so this will be another opportunity for you to ask your questions. All Deerfield Beach residents are encouraged to attend as this construction project will affect every community in our city.
Everyone have a wonderful and safe holiday and do not forget what the Memorial Day weekend is truly about. Let us honor the men and women who have served our great country, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom.
Happy Memorial Day!
