D4 News

Hello friends,

I want everyone to know about a situation regarding your personal email address associated with this newsletter subscription. Recently, an individual public records request was made for the e-mail addresses of those citizens who subscribe to my weekly District 4 newsletter.
The City of Deerfield Beach is governed by the Public Records Act as set forth in Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.  E-mails and e-mail addresses are subject to the Public Records Act and are considered public records subject to disclosure. As such, the City will be complying with the records request for your email address, as required by Florida law.
We are not privy to the intended use of the requested email addresses. To that end, the City cannot verify information contained in any email solicitation sent by an individual, organization, or group that obtains this email subscriber list.
Please remember that you have the right to unsubscribe from any unwanted e-mail communication, including these weekly messages. Should you have any questions about this please feel free to contact the Public Affairs and Marketing Director, Rebecca Medina Stewart at 954.480.4430. If you have any concerns or comments for me, you may e-mail me at tdrosky@deerfield-beach.com or call me at 954.732.0665.
I would also like to announce that my next District 4 town hall meeting will be May 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Constitution Park.  The topic of this town hall will solely be S.W. 10th Street.  The Florida Department of Transportation will be present to make a short presentation and answer questions.  FDOT recently conducted a kick-off meeting for vast changes proposed for the S.W. 10th Street corridor.  Many residents were unable to attend that meeting so this will be another opportunity for you to ask your questions.  All Deerfield Beach residents are encouraged to attend as this construction project will affect every community in our city.

Have a great weekend!

Todd Drosky
