D4 News

Hello friends,

I would like to wish everyone a happy Easter and Passover holiday.  There are two great events this weekend at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Center.  This evening at 6:00 p.m. there is the Easter Eggstravaganza, which will feature an egg hunt and an appearance by the Easter Bunny himself.  Then on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., the City will feature its annual Women's History brunch by featuring four phenomenal women who have made a lasting impact on our community.  Please come and celebrate their efforts and thank them for being such an integral part of our city.

I also want to let you know that development of S.W. 10th Street into an expressway is gaining steam again.  The Florida Department of Transportation will announce soon a public open house where they will publicly reveal two design concepts.  All residents should be concerned, but especially those of you living in The Waterways, Independence Bay and Waterford Homes.  Please plan to attend this important public meeting to have your voices heard.  I will be sending you more information in the coming weeks.

Have a great Easter and Passover weekend!

Todd Drosky
