What's Happening in Deerfield Beach?

Deerfield Beach Annual Black Heritage Banquet

The City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to join us for the Annual Black Heritage Banquet which will be held at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex in the Dr. Leo J. Robb, Jr. Memorial Gymnasium, 435 SW 2nd St., on Saturday, February 24th starting at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:00pm).

Purchase Assistance and Homeowner Rehabilitation Programs
The City of Deerfield Beach has funding available through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME) and State Housing and Initiative Partnership (SHIP) grant programs to assist eligible very low to moderate-income homebuyers with purchase assistance and owner-occupied residents with homeowner rehabilitation. An informational workshop will be held on Saturday, February 24th, from 9:30am - 11:00am at Hillsboro Community Center.

Dixie-Business Residential (DBR) Zoning District to Meet
The City of Deerfield Beach will be hosting a Charrette to discuss the Dixie-Business Residential (DBR) Zoning District. A Charrette is an intensive planning session where citizens, designers and others collaborate on a vision for development. The Charrette will take place on Monday February 26, 2018, from 6pm - 8pm at the Hillsboro Technology Center.

Special City Commission Meeting - February 28, 2018

The Special City Commission meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 7:00pm at the Hillsboro Community Center.


S&P Upgrades Credit Rating for Deerfield Beach
Standard & Poor's Global (S&P) announced it has upgraded the overall credit rating for the City of Deerfield Beach to "AA" from "AA-" and reaffirmed its "AA" long-term rating on the city's general obligation debt. The outlook is stable according to S&P Global.
