Hello friends,

I want to remind everyone that the City's Winter Wonderland will be held tomorrow, December 9th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Villages of Hillsboro Park. This event is always a great time and the children especially enjoy it. Come join me for a celebration of the season featuring two giant snow hills, horse-drawn hayrides, refreshments, holiday treats and a visit from Santa! Parking will be limited, but there will be a free shuttle operating from Quiet Waters Elementary from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. I hope to see you there!

What's Happening in Deerfield Beach?

Winter Wonderland at Villages of Hillsboro Park - Parking Shuttle
The Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the annual Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 9th at Villages of Hillsboro Park Center, 4111 N.W. 6th St., from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Event parking is limited at the event site. We recommend those attending park at Quiet Waters Elementary School, 4150 W Hillsboro Blvd., where a free shuttle service will be provided from 10:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. to and from the event.


Winter is Coming to Deerfield Beach

Come and celebrate the holiday magic with the City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department! The holiday magic kicks off on Saturday, December 9th with the annual Winter Wonderland at Villages of Hillsboro Park, 4111 NW 6th St., from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Then head on over to the Snow Day Festivities at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, 445 SW 2nd St., from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a day full of activities and rides for all ages! The holiday festivities wrap up on Saturday, December 16th, at the annual Winter Frost Festival at the Highlands Community Center, 511 NE 44th St., from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Beach Sounds - The Railway Kings
Join us for a casual, relaxing night of music and fun as the City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department presents the final concert of the 2017 Beach Sounds Concert Series on Friday, December 15th from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Main Beach Parking Lot (149 SE 21st Avenue).

Parks & Recreation Releases New E-Newsletter
The Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the release of their new monthly E-Newsletter. This E-Newsletter will help you keep track of upcoming events and program registrations!

Books & Toys Needed for Deerfield Beach Children

Please join Commissioner Gloria Battle and the City of Deerfield Beach in a Book and Toy drive for children less fortunate in our community.  A book and a toy will be handed out at the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, December 20th from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Oveta McKeithen Recreational Center located at 445 SW 2nd Street, Deerfield Beach.

Collection bins will be available at City Hall located at 150 NE Second Avenue and Constitution Park located at 2841 W. Hillsboro Blvd., in Deerfield Beach. All residents and local organizations are encouraged to help in this effort by donating new, unwrapped books and toys. The City will be collecting the items until Friday, December 15th.
