D4 News
Hello friends,

I want to wish all of the fathers a happy Father's Day this Sunday. The first recognized Father's Day observance in the United States was on July 5, 1908 in Fairmont, West Virginia. Harry Meek with the Lions Club International is credited with having Father's Day observed on the third Sunday in June starting in 1915. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers. Father's Day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.

Enjoy the time with your families, call your fathers and let's hope there is less rain so we can enjoy a beautiful Florida weekend.
