D4 News

Hello friends,

Tomorrow, Saturday, February 8 is a busy day in Deerfield Beach!  I would like to remind you of just a couple events that are being held:

     1.  Beekeeping 101 Workshop.  9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Central City Campus.  Deerfield Beach was the second municipality in Broward County to install its own apiary.  Come see our thriving apiary and learn all about the bees in the process.  This event is free and has no charge.

     2.  BSO 30th Anniversary.  10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pioneer Park.  Come celebrate BSO’s 30th anniversary in Deerfield Beach with free hot dogs and hamburgers.  The helicopter will be there for viewing by the kids.

     3.  Annual Winter Tea.  11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Break out your best tea set and join others for our annual tea party at the Oveta McKeithen recreational complex.

     4.  Art in the Park.  Noon to 5:00 p.m.  Join me outdoors at Sullivan Park along the Intracoastal Waterway as artists from around the region display their best for all of Deerfield Beach to see.  Bring the kids and enjoy the park’s renowned splash pad and what promises to be a great weather day.

These are just a couple options available to you tomorrow in our great city.  I hope to see you around.

Have a great weekend!

Vice Mayor
