Women’s History Hall of Fame Brunch

The City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to join us for the 4th Annual Women’s History Hall of Fame Inductee Brunch.  The event will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex in the Johnny Tigner Community Center, 445 SW Second Street, at 11 AM.

We are proud to announce our special guest and keynote speaker, Daphne L. Valcin.  Daphne attended the University of Florida, where she served as graduation commencement speaker and received the award for Graduating Outstanding Female Leader in 2006. As a seasoned mentor and motivational speaker, her goal is to prepare young professionals with strategies that will help them produce career results.  Daphne uses her real-life journey to successfully help lead others to a place of opportunity, perseverance, and dream realization.

The City will also celebrate influential women of Deerfield Beach who have served as role models, demonstrated a commitment to Deerfield Beach, and who have given their time, talent, and resources to make a lasting impact in the community.  This year, five outstanding women will be inducted into the Deerfield Beach Women’s History Hall of Fame. The inductees include Pam Militello, Lynn Kadushin, Phyllis Mavrikis, Cheyanne Stubbs and Gabriela Gamperl.  This impressive group is comprised of former politicians, local activists, business owners, and even a lifetime of volunteerism. They are simply the best of Deerfield Beach.

We invite you to come out for a delicious breakfast brunch buffet and entertainment as we honor these most deserving individuals! Tickets may be purchased at the Johnny Tigner Community Center at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex for $10.00.
