Household Hazardous Waste Collection Schedule Adjusted to Quarterly

Effective immediately, the City’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection program will no longer operate on a monthly schedule. Due to rising costs and low participation, the program has been reduced to a quarterly schedule.

The City’s HHW collection program allows Deerfield Beach residents to bring hazardous household items for safe disposal. Participants must show proof of residency with a photo ID or a utility bill. No business, school or government waste can be accepted.

The new schedule will begin with the HHW collection event on Saturday, September 8th at 401 SW 4th Street, Deerfield Beach. The event will last from 9 AM to 12 PM. The next HHW event will take place on December 8th.

For additional information on quarterly HHW collection, please call the Department of Sustainable Management at 954.480.4391 or visit www.DFB.city/hhw.
